50s Yokosuka Loop Collar Shirt
50s Yokosuka Loop Collar Shirt
That's a very interesting piece, the brand present an old story. Everything started in the 1909, the Naval Appropriations Act established the first official resale activity, the act allowed the Navy to procure and sell merchandise to Navy and Marine Corps officers and enlisted men and to civilian employees at naval stations outside the continental United States. After many steps, we arrived in the 1946 in Brooklyn, NYC, where the new central office for the Navy Ship’s Stores Office was established.
Numerous branch were opened since then and this shirt came from the store in Yokosuka (Japan) as we can see on the label. The pattern is the classic one of a 50s shirt, but the best part for us is the fabric a little bit see true at the same time light and smooth.
