50s Miller Gabardine Western Shirt
50s Miller Gabardine Western Shirt
Phillip Miller was known as one of the first to commercially produce the classic western shirt. There was a mail order catalog that originally operated as Stockman Farmer Supply Company. Throughout time it grew to be one of the West’s premiere sources for western hat, boots, shirts and horse tack. Reflecting Miller’s continued success with ranchers, in 1942 the business’ name was changed to Miller Stockman. In 1950, Miller opened his first Miller Stockman western store in Denver, Colorado. About 49 years later there were 30 stores in 5 western states.
